I took a few weeks off from the job search process in order to move.  After getting organized in the new home, the first thing I did late last week was to put together a Weekly Master Schedule with priority activities on each day, and a Job Search ‘To Do’ list.  One of my priority activities is my job search.  Each week on Sunday I create my Weekly Detail Schedule using the master schedule as my template.  I select items from my Job Search ‘To Do’ list and put them in the Weekly Detail Schedule.  These things should keep me focused and ensure that I spend plenty of time each week on my job search.  Both weekly schedules are Word documents, the Weekly Master Schedule being static and unchanging and the Weekly Detail Schedule having space in each day below the static priority activities where I can write in detailed activities.  The Job Search ‘To Do’ list lives in a notebook and sits on the top of my desk so that I can quickly write down activities and ideas as I think of them or that result from communications or research.  I also signed up and will be attending my first weekly Wilmington DE Job Club being held at the Integrity Career Transitions offices in Wilmington on Tuesday evening.  So, please check back as I’ll be writing about the things I am doing in my journey to become a Technical Recruiter!
